Frontline Management

The Frontline Management Training Package has the following courses:

Certificate III in Business (Frontline Management)
Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management)
Diploma of Business (Frontline Management)

This Training Package and these courses were developed and designed to enhance the quality of leadership and management in the workplace. The Training Package designers intended that the competencies involved be obtained and embedded in the workplace, not in a classroom.

Professional Performance Australia’s practical approach for professional development of leaders aligns completely with this Training Package goals.

Our approach is unique.  We have organised our program to develop participants through a Project management approach, attacking five projects as they develop their work skills.  Full details for educators are at our Management Foundations Education web site.  For those in business, go to our  Management Foundations Business web site.

Program delivery is  negotiated individually with  organisations or individuals involved. Delivery typically consists of workshop and/or coaching sessions followed by skill embedding  in the workplace. Each course participant self-selects a workplace mentor, in addition to the learning facilitator from Professional Performance Australia.

Typically the Diploma course takes twelve months to complete. As with our other accredited courses conducted in  participants’ workplaces, costing of these courses is based on a fixed cost per participant plus a calculated time cost for the facilitator. We achieve significant savings for organisations with several participants enrolled in the one course because of these economies of scale.

Costs per participant for courses conducted in South East Queensland are listed below. These up-front costs are based on all participants from the same firm, organisation or close geographic location enrolling in the program at the same time.

1-4 participants  $7,250
5-9 participants  $6,500
10-14 participants  $6,000
15+ participants  $5,500

Progress payment procedure:

Participants On Enrolment Before Project 2 Before Project 3 Before Project 4
1-4 $3195 $1595 $1595 $1595
5-9 $2860 $1430 $1430 $1430
10-14 $2640 $1320 $1320 $1320
15+ $2420 $1210 $1210 $1210

Professional Performance Australia's experienced, qualified facilitators are available to conduct courses for firms anywhere in Australia. Course costs for participants outside South East Queensland or Northern New South Wales may involve an additional component to cover travel and accommodation costs. Even so, clients find they pay less than for many other providers.

Please contact us for a free quotation to conduct this or any of our other programs with your organisation. Our contact details are on the Home Page of this site.

We structure our Frontline Management Training Package to ensure workshop sessions are appropriate for participants  aiming for a Diploma or a Certificate IV qualification. Participants who do not meet all the competency requirements to be awarded a Diploma of Business (Frontline Management), may obtain their Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management). We provide the opportunity to upgrade at a later date.

There are eleven units of work which need to be successfully completed to meet the requirements for the Diploma of Business (Frontline Management). These units are listed below:

Eight units are selected from the following list. The unit BSBMGT505A - Ensure a safe workplace is compulsory and therefore must be one of the units selected.

BSBFLM501B - Manage personal work priorities and professional development
BSBFLM503B - Manage effective workplace relationships
BSBFLM505B - Manage operational plan
BSBFLM506B - Manage workplace information systems
BSBFLM507B - Manage quality customer service

BSBFLM510B - Facilitate and capitalise on change and innovation
BSBFLM511B - Develop a workplace learning environment
BSBFLM512A - Ensure team effectiveness

Three  units of work are selected from the following list:

BSBFLM513A - Manage budgets and financial plans within the work team
BSBFLM514A - Manage People

BSBCMN419A - Manage Projects
BSBCMN416A - Identify risk and apply risk management processes

Fewer units of work are required for the Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) and fewer still for the Certificate III in Business (Frontline Management). Also, although the units of work in these courses are similar to the units listed above, they are assessed at a less demanding level of competence than what is required for the Diploma.
